From my limited experience with the ignition switch, I don't
think it is your problem. When interior lights and accessories
die due to the switch, the engine still runs fine. The switch
problem is that, when turned enough to crank the engine, it kills
unnecessary accessories (via a load reduction relay, IIRC). When
the switch is released back to the run position, it doesn't go
far enough to release the load reduction relay, so those items
remain dead, but the engine runs.
Of course, I may have only 1 view of the ignition switch problem.
But for the $30 or so and 1/2 hour of your time for a new switch,
it will remove all doubt.
As always, you might want to pull the DTC codes to see if they
give any indication.
