Ignition Switch problems can kill Gas pump too ... intermittantly

Typically this is only a problem on starting, but out of 3 failed 
switches, with 2 the problem was NOt the accessories (as it was on the 
first) but the fuel pump.

I was actually having trouble following whether he had warning light go 
on when the car stopped running.
