1993 90Q Oil Pressure Issues

I drove my Audi 420 miles up to school after leaving it sit for 3 
months. It drove up without any problems. Then the day after I got here 
I went to drive it and the oil pressure light kicked on and started 
beeping. I had to continue on driving around the block and found that 
the light would go away when coasting or when running at low RPM's. But 
when I accel or just drive around 3k the light comes back on and beeps 
some more. I'm looking for a place to start diagnosis. Should I replace 
the sensor first to see if that is it? The oil level is fine, I'm 
running Castrol 10W-40. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks.
