the spring. To make sure its working correctly, unscrew the oil pressure
sender, take the spring and plunger out and inspect and clean the
plunger, and the alu sealing seat."

Between your post and another on a different site,  I figured out that I had 
put the valve in upside down.  I had mistakenly thought the conical top 
would fit in the top of the spring.    WRONG!!!!!!  I went out to the car, 
took it out, and flipped it over, and no more oil pressure problem :).
