Alfa Romeo 159 A4 Avant?

Autoweek, April 3, 2006, page 13, Alfa Romeo 159 3.2 Q4 Sportwagon.  Did
Audi get Alfa Romeo in a gift bag when they bought Lamborghini?  3.2 litres?
Q4 all wheel drive system?  And just look at that roof line and those roof
rails!
 
Seems the red-headed step child of the 80's has unintendedly accelerated to
the front of the pack of automakers which are most copied in the (long
past?) practice of Japanese automakers.  Best example, Ford.  Ford Granada,
Mercedes.  Ford Taurus, Audi 5000.  Ford 500 (!), Audi A6/VW Passat/Mercedes
C-class (nose to tail).  Ford Freelander, VW Passat Wagon (a dead ringer!).
