Thanks Doyt
"Question: Was the clutch depressed when the engine or
transmission was out of the car?"
The shifter remained the whole time in the neutral
position and the clutch pedal completely free in its
upright position.
Engine block along with tranny remained attatched, and
no, I'm almost certain I did not temper by accident
with any of the clutch system, but you never know.
"I'd suspect air in the hydraulic path, if the clutch
pedal did not return fully, but you say it feels
exactly the same"
Clutch pedal returns fully to its resting position
after dis-engaging it just like it always did before.
So, perhaps the clutch disk is simply stuck due to
some cleaning fluid (carburator cleaner) possibly
sipping in that area when I cleaned the top of the
engine block in preparation for replacing the cylinder
head?
I can't think of anything else.
Thank you for all your future replies!!
-Louis
