I think DI is overkill, regular distilled should be fine. Only place to
easily find DI water is
a scientific supply place, going to cost you a lot, unless you have a buddy
in a lab that will
smuggle you out some DI water (most bio labs have big fancy ion-exchange DI
dispensers).
