Quattro left me sit, won't go into drive

Well it isn't just Audis that will do this.
Client came past my office last week, and when he left, or rather tried
to leave, his 2000 P*ntiac Sunturd absolutely refused to shift into ANY
gear - the shifter acted like it was solidly welded into position.
After much cussing, car and client went away on a flatbed truck . . .
I spoke to him later, the car was fixed for $50 towing and $90 labor. It
seems a quarter (25 cent piece) had slid off the console, through some
seam in the plastic, and gotten wedged in the shift linkage, locking it
up tightly.
After it was fixed, he allegedly told the mechanic to keep the change.
(Yes, he probably did - he's like that.)
Best Regards,

(Thank you Lord, it only cost $250 to fix this time . . . )
