The answer is in the Bentley, page 90.4:

You need Tool VW1301, and then the specs are:

Full is 60
1/2 is 155
reserve is 302

I've plot a chart of the VW 1301 values and real ohms (from an old VAG document
available at Bentley Publishers ): see my earlier post about this
:http://www.audifans.com/pipermail/urq/2006-October/010220.html

VW 1301	Ohms (Ω)
40 32
50 34
52 35
55 37
60 39
62 40
110 67
215 116
220 122
320 168

So, for you without a VW 1301:

Full is 39 ohms
1/2 is 88 ohms,
reserve is 160 ohms

Ok - here's an obscure request.

I'm looking to put a fuel gauge in to the rally car. The entire dash is
non-existent and the previous owner did a marvelous job of rewiring all the
components. However, no fuel gauge.

So, before I try to measure what the output of the fuel sender is - I
thought one of you audista's might have that information tucked away
somewhere :-)
Thanks !
Vittorio -
