One Piece Driveshaft

Although it doesn't sound like a "good idea" to me, that is probably 
just because I don't know why you want to do it.

Anyway, I suspect any place that works on trucks a lot could do it - 
since they would have to repair broken shafts for the trucks.  It seems 
like they could jig it up (hold both halves fixed & straight), cut out 
the center section, weld in a solid middle, and balance it.  Heck, 
except for the balancing part, it almost sounds as though an amateur 
could cobble it together...
