They just get the same 12v (dimmed?) power that all the instrument bulbs 
get.  They are a pain to get in and out with the gauges installed, you 
might want to test each of them out of the car with a power supply, 9v 
battery, or wires to a car.

If the bulbs are good, then you have wiring issues... I think they run 
off a grey (power) and brown (ground) set of wires.

A set of new bulbs would be cheap and nice insurance against having to 
dig in there again.
