In terms of wiring, the back seat battery will just have one big wire 
running to the starter and then to the other main connections.  The 
underhood battery has a starter wire, and then two separate wires to the 
alternator and fusebox running directly off it.

You will often find the underseat cars have a bit of exhaust doodad in 
the way of where the battery would have been under the hood - the 
wastegate sticking up to the side and behind the cylinder head.
