Need help! what kind of psi is on the return side of CIS-e fuel system

Hi,
   
  I am wondering what kind of fuel pressure should be expected on the return side of the CIS-e fuel system on my 85 4kq....   I was removing the battery tray and trying to be very careful but somehow managed to cut through the steel part of the line.  I am wondering if I can patch it with a piece of high psi/temp fuel line or if I have to replace the entire steel line all the way to where it connects to the rubber fuel hose that goes into the tank.
