Those early Legacies definitely do not have Audi like handling- they like to
rotate
on lift-throttle in a big way.
Structurally, they feel flimsy and the cars feel really cheap.
The automatic is terrible and the AWD system on the automatic is really bad.
Even the standard non-electronic shocks are horribly expensive to replace,
esp. the rears.
The automatic seatbelts are really annoying.
I don't know if you've driven one, but the driving position is odd to me.
The later Subarus have much better structure and less annoying stuff.
