What exactly is the problem of getting the belt on?  The basic
procedure is to loosen the bolt that maintains the belt tension so
the belt can be undone from the pulley, and remove whatever else
might be in the way of the belt (i.e., depending on the specific
configuration of your car, you may have to undo the A/C belt first,
etc).
