alternator belt

Buy a longer belt.  They should come in lengths of 5 mm or 10 mm  longer, buy 
a couple that you think may work, and return the ones you don't  use.

>From  what I can see, the alternator is as far to the right as it can 
go. Unless  I can come up with any more ideas, I'm about ready to admit 
defeat.  Fortunately there's an Audi shop, recommended by a local 
lister, that I  think I can get to on the battery.
