Sachs Sporting strut inserts

I currently run Boge Turbo Gas with stock springs in my '85 4ksq. They have about
70k miles on them.

Someone put a low mileage set of Sachs Sporting dampers in my hands thinking they
would be a fun street upgrade. They ahve been sitting on a shelf for 3 years.
The dampers are the correct front ones for the type 85 quattro.

I do have an email in to the tech line at ZF Trading, the distributors of Sachs,
but response is slow.

Any listers have experience or comments on this line of damper? I do know the following:
--there is a corresponding Sachs Sporting spring for this damper, and both were
sold as a kit;
--both dampers and springs were discontinued in 2001.

My questions are:
--Sachs Sporting stiffer, softer, or the same as Boge Turbo Gas? Appropriate for
the street?  Waste of time?
--can I use the Sachs Sporting dampers with Audi stock springs, or are they for
a lowering spring(or their specific lowering spring)?
--does the Sachs Sporting for the front, keeping the Boge TG in the rear make sense?
