re.putting a auto trans in a '91 20VTQA

It's always been my opinion that a large part of the way the t44 Q's handle
is that they have fully indepent suspension.  Those front-drivers have that
beam axle in the rear.  Still may handle well, but not quite the same, I'd
say.  Years ago after my first CGT, I was on the prowl for a 4kq only
because it had 4-wheel independent suspsension.  I lived in LA and didn't
care about Quattro.  Never did find one and ended up with another CGT, which
I still have.  My first Q was an '87 5kcstq.  I've driven a few 4kq's over
the years and really like them, but just can't justify one in the fleet,
especially at 6k feet altitude.  Now I have a urq so even a 4ktq can't be
justified.  But then I've never been one to stand on principle...  ;-)
