putting a auto trans in a '91 20VTQA

If I was after a 5 cyl turbo 2wd wagon with auto I'd look for a nice
condition t44 wagon with and auto and then swap in a turbo engine. It is a
well documented swap and probably easier than swaping a 2wd auto into a t44
quattro.
I probaly would not look to mate a 20v to the t44 automatic becuase they
were not real strong trannies.
I have several Audi repair manuals the infer the 92 -94 S4 came with an auto
but never have seen one. I wonder if the 92 -94 100 auto tranny would mate
to the 20v engine?
