gotta agree with Ben on the 850's...
I had an 89 100 avant automatic, front wheel drive.
at 160k miles, we decided to look at new cars.. the
audi's
where more than i could spend.. the 850 wagon's where
in my
price range.
After driving the 850 for at least 45 minutes, i came
to the conclusion
that the only thing better was that the seats where
REALLY comfortable ;)
not that the audi was uncomfortable..
It was louder roadnoise wise, road like crap, and was
not even close
to the quality of materials in the 89 100 avant.
I decided to put $2,500 in suspension work in the Audi
instead.
Went new from the subframe mounts all the way out to
wheel bearings
and up as far as strut bearings...
then 10k miles later she freakin totalled it....
argh...
Mike,
but like people have said, an 850 will be much eaiser
to find
in good shape... what your looking for doesn't exist
in audi,
unless ya build it. if ya like building, then have a
good time ;)
