i thought about doing a turbo swap to a auto NA type44 wagon but then id have
a NA dash, NA electrics 4 bolt wheels, NA front grille and lights, NA hood,
etc... which i didnt want.

doing a auto tranny swap into a 20vTQA seems easier to me.. i get the turbo
stuff, the 20v, and the unique one year only body w/ flared fenders etc. as
far as the 'tranny not holding up" i seriously doubt that. im 32, not 16. i
dont race my cars. ive got 160k out of my last auto trans type44T without a
rebuild. its called preventative maintenance :<) a average condition/hi
miles '91 20vtqa can be had for $2000-$3000 in decent running cond. a donor
89-91 200T fwd can be had for $500-$1500 in good running cond.
all the rest would be labor.

still kicking ideas around though, and appreciate all the feedback-

86 5kT auto. running good for now!
