I agree. Especially suspension nuts, which are usually locking nuts and
a pain to drive on by hand. Thread on 'til you hit the nylon or crimped
part, then zip until almost seated with power, and hand finish with
torque wrench. The air gun is great for taking up 1/2" of threads
quickly so you can get on with things.
One big question raised in this thread is air versus electric (battery
or mains). The air option, while moving the original poster into a
different spending bracket, allows as mentioned for a collection of air
tools to be assembled, all of which are very useful for the serious
shadetree mechanic. Even just having air guns to clean/dry things is a
bonus. A small compressor should be no louder than a lawnmower.
