Brett,
I'm guessing the plugs are changed out because (as most anyone who has
worked at an Audi/VW dealership can attest) of a propensity to foul on
short trips. I imagine this is especially true wrt the FSI engines
and their corresponding HUGE fuel pressures (in addition to the
regular fuel pump, there is a separate fuel pump on each cylinder head
to supply fuel). For the $70-80k price of entry, I think that's a
good idea, don't you?
