Which, as previously mentioned, means the ECU is failing to enrich when
cold (or does not know it's cold).  I am not familiar with the 4 cyl
management system, however...

The CSV only fires briefly anyway, it's not your problem here.

On the 5 cyl cars, there is an ignition computer behind the passenger
kick panel just ahead of the door; the fuel ECU is tucked up against the
firewall forward of the glovebox.  You can see its multi-pin connector
if you remove the plastic panel that continues forward from the bottom
of the glovebox.
