Towing quattros with a dolly

This, plain and simple... is a very bad idea. Even 30 miles... you didn't
get a FAILURE, but I'd bet some damage (extra, unusual wear) was done,
unless you disconnected and supported the forward driveshaft. IMHO, it's
simply not worth the risk. Renting a U-Haul to tow with a full trailer
simply isn't that expensive.
