V8 engine in type 89Q

Does anyone know for sure if the 3.6 V8 engine can be used with the 
hydraulic (90 20v/S2) brake booster if I modify the air cleaner housing 
and/or top cover? I seem to recall somebody has done it..

If not, what possibilities are there? Driving without brake booster is not 
an option, using a new 8-coil V8 engine is not either.. :)

BTW: Does anyone know if the automatic transmission oil pan can be modified 
to work with a manual transmission?
