86 GT losing power Battery Drain

See if the drain on the battery is greater than the recharging of the alt 
(brushes)

There was a TSB about some 200 alts that had a too small pulley to charge the 
battery at idle.

See if your brushes are worn, wires have high resistance (corroded) or open 
the battery to see if the cells still have distilled water in them.

Our 99 A6 was struggling to start in the colder weather, I opened the battery 
and all the cells were 1/3 full.  Not much capacity there.............

I filled with Distilled water from a drug store chain, and alls happy.
$aved $100 from not having to buy a new battery this winter.............
