No start until I push in the instrument cluster 90q

I recently had the ignition lock and switch replaced on my 90q20v...  
worked fine up until a few days ago, then I jiggled the wiring in the  
back to get it to work... now it doesn't start at all.  I turn the  
key and the instrument panel lights don't come on at all... I dont  
hear the fuel pump.  I partially removed the instrument cluster and  
there is a loose connector  that is coming out of the main large  
connector in the back of the cluster... does that go to anything?  Or  
should I look elsewhere for a loose wire?
