No start until I push in the instrument cluster 90q

Dave,

I dont really follow your explanation enough to comment.

but if pushing in your dash causes the ignition switch to work, I would 
think of:

1) Harness is loose on back of switch (easy to happen)
2) broken wire in harness that was the problem all along (ditto, its 
tight and easily damaged)
