fuel pump relay

When you took the cover off the new relay (that worked for awhile but
now doesn't work) what did the contacts look like?  What is the
resistance to the chassis from the output of the relay (intermittent
short to ground?)?  How much current does the pump draw when running? 
Did you put the correct relay in?
