The rear rotors and calipers I just replaced were solid, and AFAIK they were
the *original* rotors that came with the car, which still only has 56,000
miles on the odometer. The new ones are also solids (albeit with the
updated 38mm piston calipers instead of the old 36s, as per the Bentley) so
now I guess I have the "correct" brake setup on the car, after all this
time.
Whew! ;)
