Type44 AC Compressors - Rebuilts?

Forgot a question...can you replace just the clutch on an AC compressor?

I live in AZ, it's the time of year the we get closer to Hades, and of
course my compressor took a poop. I was thinking about going with a
remanufactured unit, but something tells me that AC compressor is one
thing that doesn't reman well.

Any BTDT? Certain types I should look for or stay away from?
