Yeah, GM ditched the Stanadyne because they don't even make the
Duramax engine.  Izusu does.  As far as I know Ford is the only one
using engines they make.  I had not heard of Chrysler using mercedes.
They have used Cummins in their trucks for as long as I can remember
and the Jeep liberty uses something made in Italy.  I guess that could
be a mercedes design.  As far as I know the only American Diesel made
right now that is not a pickup truck is the Jeep Liberty.  They don't
even make Suburbans, Tahoes or Excursions anymore.
