Kind of, Duramax's are made in Moraine, Ohio under an equity partnership
of Isuzu and GM. They've been doing projects and selling each others
products for decades (Cheby "Luv" anyone?). If it's made in Ohio, I
think that still qualifies as an American made engine. The diesel Jeeps
I've seen have Mercedes diesels, as do the Dodge and the Freightliner
Vans.
