Talking to an Audi rep, and Diesels in the US

The Duramax is an Isuzu engine, regardless of where it is built.

The Mercedes transmission in the V-8 Chrysler 300/Magnum/Charger is
a Mercedes transmission, even though it's built in Indiana.

The Jeep Liberty diesel has a VM Motori engine, Italian, not Mercedes.

The only new light-duty trucks running Mercedes diesels in the US are the
Dodge/Freightliner Sprinters.
