Snow tire fitment, quick question

Style my friend, all is a matter of style !
I personally don't like the "black wheel without any hubcaps" look of
the steelies... or the cheap generic plastic hubcaps. But if you can
find OEM plastic hubcaps that fits the style of the A4, steelies are OK.
Look at what I've done to the Saab: OEM steelies 16" and OEM Saab winter
hubcaps. http://www3.sympatico.ca/laraa/autos/.
So maybe the solution for the OP is the 8Z0 604 147A hubcap on a 15x6
steel wheel.
Or, if he needs 16" to clear the brakes, 4D0 601 025 16" steelies with
4D0 601 147 16" hubcaps.
But wasn't his "quick question" about tires, not wheels? :-) There is
just no "quick question" when someone post about tires...
