True, but the newer cars also have a lot of issues:
Window and sunroof switches going bad (nothing new)
Climate control units going bad (nothing new)
Center DIS display going bad (IC failure, nothing new)
Rear calipers still seize up (I wonder what the service procedure is with
the new cars' electronic parking brakes)
Twin turbo engines having turbo failure is pretty common, as well as bypass
valve
failure, Y-hose failure, etc.
IC end tank failure under high boost, as do crossover pipes
Alternators still fail due to overheating
MMI failure in the D3s
Starter on the RS6 is something like 12-14 hrs. labor.
That's a big part of why the resale value is so poor as well as the lack of
desirability in the secondhand market.
