Thanks Huw.

I think my numbers don't quite match up to yours, but I get the general idea.

So, I take it there is no way to check the integrity of a FPR by connecting
straight to battery power?

And, excuse my ignorance, but what is an SPST relay?

Thanks,

Tom

I'll  try...

31 = ground
87 = fuel pump power out
30 = battery  power
1 = coil signal
15 = ignition switch

I think those are all the terminals that are actually used.

A "normal" SPST relay can be subbed, but you lose the important safety
feature of the fuel shutting down if there's no spark (coil signal).
Or, you can jump 30 to 87 to run the pump all the time to get home, or
15 to 87 to do so, loading the ignition switch with the fuel pump (maybe
not the greatest  idea).

The FPR will close only if it sees ignition power *and* pulses at the
coil signal terminal.
