OBD II reader to OBD I

That's very inexpensive.  I thought I got a great deal buying some from
China which cost $20.00 each!

I've only used these with VAG-COM..... but his questions was basically
"would this work with a generic OBD-2 reader?"  I say "no way," as the VAG
protocol is unique... but you've tried it and it works with a GENERIC OBD-2
reader on your V8Q?
