That's why Audi put in the automatic "diff lock off at 15mph"
switch. But the lister talked about running on dirt. The diff
would turn the wheels at the same speed, and the tire(s) would
slip on the dirt/gravel, preventing damage to the diff. The same
would apply to running the diff lock on snow or ice.
