People still use tapes? Wow. ;-)
Nick, try manually helping the tape eject with a small pick or flat
screwdriver while pushing the eject button. Then do your best to clean the
mechanism (I'm sure Radio Shack still sells tape cleaning kits).
If that doesn't work (and it should), the next step is never remove the tape
or take the entire head unit apart (yuck).
