driver's door will not open (unlocked)

7 shades of poo, eh?    :-)

I have the lock rod disconnected.  I will unhook the release rod as 
suggested and try that.  I do have a full spare set of everything so I 
should be okay.  I just hope I don't have to use my spare door until I 
get the damn thing open.

p.s. ever try to explain to your wife/significant other why your door 
doesn't open on the $12k 16 year old car you just bought when there is 
an identical (to her) car that you put tons of money into sitting right 
next to it and its for sale for $3900?  (note: "new" stuck door car has 
an AAN, the "old" CQ is still 7A powered)
