After reading your post, I did a bit of research on Tire Pressure Systems:

BERU Group, based in Ludwigsburg, Germany, said it has been supplying tire
pressure monitoring systems for five years. The company's monitoring system
is currently available on BMW Group's 3-, 5- and 7-series models and the X5
sport-utility vehicle, on most DaimlerChrysler models as well as on the
Volkswagen Group's Audi A6, A8 and Quattro sedans, it said.

BERU is a radio transmitter system.

Each wheel has a transmitter with its own ID code. Battery life is 10 years.
Transmitter is in off mode after 15 min of inactivity. Gets turned on via an
inertia switch when MPH >15

Car computer is looking for sensor signals every 30 seconds. Failure to get
a proper signal will set off alarm.

I dont see any easy way . or any way to bypass the computer using external
methods(like carrying 4 transmitters in the trunk).

I'm not sure what else is controlled by the low tire warning computer. Maybe
there is a link to error code setting.

Bypassing stuff on the older Audis is not too hard. I have bypassed the
headlight warning on my relayed cars - One small cut on a circuit board does
the trick. But, this Auto-Check system is not linked to the main car
computer - its just a stand alone gizmo.

If your system is not linked to main computer, you can fool the system by
removing(cut trace or wire) the load(warning lights and bells and whistles)
and substituting a load resistor for the original load (most likely a relay
or relay driver). The system works normally, but will not activate the bells
and whistles.

Thats my theory on the topic.
