I have a friend kill my batt in my '97 A8 last summer. I had my radio code and it didnt work!!!! I even took out the radio to check the serial numbers matched up. Tried about evey other combo too 0000, 1234, 1111 ect. Ended up buying a newer radio from a TT that came with the code. But when I got the radio and pluged it in, it never asked for the code. This year the battery finally gave up the ghost from the deep discharge from last year and I had to replace it. Radio still didn't ask for a code. O' well what ever. Just wanted to bring up that it may not ask for the code and even if you have it and it does, it may not work!
Good Luck!

No it can't. It if could, then it wouldn't be much of a theft
deterrent feature would it?
