heh.  this is what happens when i start to ask
too many questions in one post...clarity on my
part becomes a real issue. 

i'll try and separate all questions into their
own specific thread from now on.

yes, it's an MC-equipped 89 200TQA.  the later
10V with dual konck sensors.

that's exactly what i'm wondering.  the car
starts and runs MINT.  smooth idle, drives really
nice, etc etc.

it's some of the top end performance that doesn't
feel right somehow.

it's spot on.  i fiddled with timing before and
after the head went on.  the flywheel, the
harmonic balancer, the cam gear, and the
distributor rotor are still lined up nicely.
