new car decision

Steve-
It really depends on your budget. Did you lease the allroad on one of those
crazy incentive deals?
The regular A6 sedan leases for mid $600s- low $700s if you're talking about
little money down.
If your budget allows for a high $50k- low $60k car, the A6 Avant is
definitely a nice vehicle, esp. if you need an automatic, nav and AWD.
The other alternative would be a BMW 525xi or 530xi wagon (same price as A6
or more), possibly a Volvo V70R or XC (cheaper), or the VW Passat
3.64Motion wagon (cheaper).
Space-wise, the A6 Avant is the largest, the Passat is about the same as
your allroad or a bit larger, the Volvo is about the same as the allroad and
the BMW is also about the same.
IMHO, drive them all, see which ones you like and choose the dealership that
gives you the best service. In my area (northeast), Audi and VW have by far
the worst dealerships, so they're permanently out of consideration for me.
