I think you left the "not" out of that sentence.  
It's also a major PITA to use an adhesive that doesn't work, but DOES
screw up your bonding surfaces, sometimes (especially with porous
materials) to the point where even a good adhesive won't work because of
the residue left behind from the first attempt.
