Lincoln Air Suspension - NAC

I'm hoping someone has experience with Lincoln air suspensions.

Quick question on a '88 Lincoln Mark 7 LSC. I am looking for one for a
project (engine donor) and it is available about 800 miles away. The
question is, can it be driven here with the front air-shocks gone? I'm
not farmiliar with whether it will rub or break something.

I'm also curious if any of you know about a good site for Fords,
specifically we are putting a 5.0 HO in a 1988 Ranger 4X4.
