how much weight does the quattro system add to a C4 Avant?

No so much that a 2wd non-quattro will feel like a rocket in comparison.
I have a '94 100S Avant, and although it has been very reliable, its no
quattro.  My next Audi will be quattro. It's worth the weight penalty.
