No - that does seem to indicate the afterrun switch is bad.

I have tried disconnecting the switch in the radiator but this does not stop
the fan. If I disconnect the after-run switch the fan stops. Do you think I am
replacing the wrong thing?

This only affects the after-run system - will cause fan to stay on if circuit
is shorted, usually not the switch, but wire accidentally connecting to
ground.
Did you check the switch in the radiator - easey test is to disconnect it and
see if fan goes out.

I had this same problem too. The fan is controlled by a sensor in the coolant
neck on the head. It's the white/clear sensor I believe. My sensor was fine,
but it turned out to be the low-speed fan relay. The relay was sticking in the
on position, but if you tapped it, it would turn off. Good luck.

My cooling fans stay on so long that they drain my battery. When I park my car
and turn it off and it has been warm, temp. gauge running at 1/2 way both of
my cooling fans stay on so long (up to 13 minutes ) that my battery is dead.
Does anyone have any ideas what is causing my problem?
